went for plan 3, had a half body wrap in brush alloy/silver, as it was being done the brushed alloy looked good, even when finished inside under the lights the silver was nice against the blue, but out side in the day light it looks sort of grey primer-ish, I'm not too sure if this has worked or not. honest nice remarks welcome please. and yes i know she is way to high, thats my next task

I agree with you on the fact that it looks like its primer. I don't really like it. Having said that though, i'm not really a fan of two tone on pretty much anything anyway.
Those wheels will look at home once you've attacked the height issue!

It kind of looks like it should be sign written down the sides!!! Mainly because it doesn't carry on to the front bumper but I can see that it would be difficult to make that look right if it did due to the bumper moulding rising up to the leading edge of the bonnet.

I quite like it Maybe a thin contrasting stripe along the top of the silver and down the front wheel arch? Orange like the side repeater?

Hmm, for me, maybe if the wrap was on the top half of the sides, rather than the bottom. That way it would carry the length of the car? It just seems to stop a bit abruptly and maybe that's why it appears as primer on three repair panels, rather than tying the whole side together.

Hmm its not an easy shape to work with, but I think George has summed it up pretty well just needs something on the front to tie it together. What we need is someone who's a dab hand with Photoshop I alas am useless. I did something similar with my old t4, tried to replicate an escort design. This was done in some free software, paint.net or something.

it dosnt look balanced to me, if the wrap had stopped at the rear wheel arch it would have balanced out the front, but I like the wheels.

thanks for all good comments, I'm happy with the front, but i do think a pin stripe along the split line might help, and agree that the rear is a bit sharp so I'm thinking of softening the line from bottom of rear wheel up to bottom of rear light somehow. had today off from work, its warm and dry, so go out to play with the air ride, lower 3 corners and then whilst working on the last, this happens, will have to get a fitter at work to take a look on monday.

spent some time (a few hours here and there) playing about with the air set up, put all four corners on maximum low but the drivers rear sits high, drove it, switched it from normal to high, drove it again flicked back to normal, but drivers rear always a lot higher than the others, removed the rear adjusters, and put the arms to the lowest point, the car then sat right down onto both the rear tyres, proving that they both work, then reatached the adjusters set them both the same, but the rear drivers is back up in the air. the fronts are pretty close to where i want them, my friendly garage is going to take a quick look at her next week they will do a few electrical tests on the senders. i ran a pin stripe along the split line today, just got to soften that bottom rear corner up a bit

I still cant find any other adjusters on my headlights (just one on passengers side for left to right) they could even be for the USA market, took another look at the originals that came in the boot they have plastic lenses, one is ok but dull, the other dull with loads of scratches, only fit for the bin, ive heard that a good going over with things like t-cut can bring them back to life, gave the bad one a go and it has lost the dullness but still scratched to hell, "what have i got to lose" find some 1000 wet n dry and give them a firm wet rub keeping all the movement in the same direction at this point the plastic looked hazed but another going over with t-cut and hey presto they are good enough to go back on if my garage confirms that there is no more adjustment on the fitted lights or if they are for LHD, whilst they give my air suspension a quick looking over. took the car to its first meet on sunday

yes, ive look for the twin packs which have a thin and wider stripe but cant get them in blue, may have a go with black. after market lights were for the US market (LHD) so they have been replaced with the originals, ive also given up on the air ride, have gone for a set of HSD coilovers will get them fitted some time next week.

before i gave up on the air ride, i bought a Field height controller as this was 1/6 the price of a set of coilovers, it was easy to fit came with all the right conectores a nice little step by step pamphlet with pictures, which was good as all the text was in Japanese (again) by the time I'm shot of this car i might be bilingual (but don't hold your breath) this raised and lowered the front independently from the rear and vice versa, but never got over the rear right wanting to cock its leg higher than the rest, so i have removed it and as we speak (27-11-15) is up for sale on the Bay of E for 7 days. i bought the above HSD coilovers from Driftworks who gave great after sales back up (they corresponded with the garage that were fitting them) thanks guys for sorting that out. the car now rides nice and even with the arches hugging the tyres. M.O.T. fast approaching......watch this space.......

after the cold spell a few weeks back i had to splash out on a new battery, there not cheap anymore, did a few little jobs including fitting a new fog light ready for the MOT, and she sailed through, to celebrate i took her over to Bristols December breakfast meet, way too many modern cars getting over there now.

I know it's personal taste, but the wrap still isn't doing it for me.

Love the car, always had a soft spot for these bruisers, but can't say i like the wrap, the first pic after you polished it looked perfect, each to their own though..

My 2p worth put lowrider scallops in google (other search engines are available) and then copy a really basic one that follows the curve of the wheel arch then gets thinner along the bottom of the door and the swage line. Obviously with a inch or so gap from the edges if that makes sense. Swage line stripe to just past the door handle and bottom stripe just past half way along the door.

For me it's still that abrupt end of the wrap behind the front wheel that spoils it. Some silver (don't ask what shape!) continuing onto the front bumper would finish it I think.
