It's been a while since I've been around these parts but I thought you guys might appreciate this one.
It's been done before and I'm not afraid to admit I've stolen most of the ideas off Colin Furze. I do like to think I've put a bit more engineering thought into it but who cares? At the end of the day I've taken something perfectly useable and made it useless.
So, just over a couple of months ago I was talking to a pal and I asked if he knew for any second hand mobility scooters. I wasn't expecting him to say he had one but he did and a deal was made. I got it home, stripped all the electric nonsense off of it and ordered a pitbike motor. I didn't get any photos of this part as I was a bit over excited. Then I ordered up everything else I needed to make it work and started building the chassis so it would sit right.
I chucked all the other bits at it then carried it out for some photos.
Since then I have sorted the forward controls and brake pedal linkage for the right hand side. I also knocked up a quick fuel tank. The only thing left to do now is plumb the fuel line, bleed the brakes, wire it and give it a try. I will try and get some better more recent photos soon. This is the most recent I have.
