I purchased this car from a fellow RR'er in April this year. It was needing some recomissioning and general tidying up, which I have since given it. But plans have changed, and now I need an E36 BMW so this is going to have to make room. This MX5 is ready to go - either fill it with petrol and enjoy it as-is, or tidy up some of the remaining jobs for one of the cleanest cars around!!
The BBS wheels I want to keep for my E21 BMW. However, for the right price I will consider letting them go with the car, to complete the look!! They are shod in a set of Michelin Sport PE2's, with plenty of tread. Otherwisethe car will come on a set of good Daisy wheels, including caps, with 2 Kenda Comets, a Kenda Comet Plus (WOW!) and another top quality Chinese tyre I can't remember.
Positives:
- VERY sound car. Arches are extremely clean, sills are original and VERY good. One of the best original Eunos Roadsters i've seen!!!
- Good vinyl roof with zip out screen
- TA Technix coilovers with only a few thousand k's on them
- Service when recomissioned
- Cam cover and CAS sensor gaskets replaced
- Air con removed
- Windy windows properly installed with new doorcards etc
- New big battery with proper Mazda parts to fit it in place!
- Full 4 wheel alignment with print out
- H4 headlight conversion
- Driver's seat "foamectomy" for tall blokes like me!
- Mazda interior brace installed (between seatbelt towers)
- Fog light has been installed in centre high brake light, so it has an uncut rear bumper!!
- Headunit with AUX in
- Decent speakers with tweeters, and doors insulated for actual audible volumes!
- Assorted spares that come free with the car
Negatives:
- Driver's side wing needs replacing, passenger side needs a lick of paint
- Driver's side door also needs cosmetic attention
- Marks on rear bumper where horrible mud guards have been removed
- 5cm area along top of plastic rear screen has ripped from zip. Can be repaired I imagine.
- A wet battery has leaked in the boot, taking off paint in the area. Needs a lick of paint.
