Here is a 1997 Citroen Saxo in green for sale. Current careful lady owner has owned car since 2008 and driven an average of less than 1000miles per year, and kept the car safe on a private driveway. Car is mechanically in excellent working order, and has only covered 26k miles. It has MOT until January 2016, with no reasons for it to fail its next one. It had a complete new exhaust fitted at the end of last year at the cost of almost £200 (with receipt as proof). I'll briefly summarise the good and bad points of the car:
Good:
- Only done 26k miles.
- Starts first time every time.
- Has security code to prevent theft.
- Good tyres with plenty of tread all round.
- Regularly been serviced with oil and filter changes, almost every year since we got the vehicle.
- Low insurance and tax groups for making it ideal as a cheap run about or first car.
- After market remote central locking fitted to all doors.
- No knocks or bangs whilst driving, engine is solid and in good health.
- Interior in excellent condition.
Bad:
- Passenger door has been replaced with different shade of green, and catches the latch slightly when opening or closing. The door still works fine and shuts/opens properly otherwise.
- MOT advisory on corrosion on inner rear arches.
- Has the odd small mark and scuff that you would expect.
- Small crack in one of the wheel trims.
- Gear linkage for reverse can be hard to get into gear straight away, just takes getting used to.
