Thanks to all the RR crew (guys and gals ) who promoted and organised it all. Thanks also to MAC and the Shelsley Walsh team who have kept the venue in wonderful condition.
We are seriously lucky to have such a place to visit and use. Jonny

It was an amazing time, loved all the stuff up the hill, in the paddock and on the field. I got beached a few times so thanks to anyone that pushed me out! I also accidentally met a very nice chap who I was later told is the one and only Kev from Wales.. Were you the guy in the bottle green mk2 4dr escort? - the tat auction has a bit more wedge to come in via paypal, but it comes out as aroundabout.... THIRTEEN HUNDRED POUNDS!

Fair play kfw. I've gotta ask as I'm intrigued, what did those car seats go for? (Only as I donated em, I hope they helped out)

Fantastic weekend, properly brilliant every year. Huge thanks to HoTWire and all involved who give their valuable time to help organise and not to mention clean up after all of us. Really sorry to hear about the Volvo, that is truly tragic. I'd be surprised if it were caused by the exhaust on wet grass though. All of the disposable barbecues that were sat on it couldn't set it on fire so I'd imagine there was more to it than that. A few tens of inches of rain didn't dampen spirits though, great people, great cars and all in all another amazing experience. That was steveandhis244's 240 in the field. He was following me, my mate, a Volvo 343 and a few others in a convoy doing well below the speed limit in a line of traffic. I looked behind and saw the 343 had gone and Steve had gone. Didn't think anything of it and just assumed it was because of traffic we got separated. Thought "ah they will catch up" but didn't see them again. Got a call from Steve a while later to say the back end slid out on a corner and he aimed for the least dense bit of hedge since he knew he wouldn't be able to save it. No damage to the car at all! Ironically he didn't have a tow rope on him because he had lent it out to someone to tow the burning V70R out of the way and never got it back.

I just may have had a bit of a rant on another thread, but, on a very positive note, once again, I had a great time. Seriously, beer and chilli talking cars on Friday, awesome breakfast, relaxation, beers and a barbecue on Saturday (as well as a real live auction!) and talking more about cars (there may have been some repetition by about 11pm) and then real cars, racing up a hill in both the dry and the wet (lunacy) and a field full of cars to talk about on Sunday. Really, honestly, as a petrol head, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be Oh, and it may have rained a bit...... Thanks, and thanks again you RR Legends. See you next year!

Fair play kfw. I've gotta ask as I'm intrigued, what did those car seats go for? (Only as I donated em, I hope they helped out) They went for 60 quid which was a steel imo, my mate bought them t5pete I believe they are destined for a Volvo 242 once he imports it from the states Oh and what are they out off? general consensus was rover tomcat?

Yes it was rover. I believe maybe an 800? They where fitted in a vw beetle before I got them. Glad they went to a good cause. Plus they will get some use. Rather than collecting dust in the back of my garage haha

Good event as ever, we didn't attend last year, so this was our first Shelsey Walsh excursion, very pretty venue. Both myself and the other half attend motor events all over the Uk, this is one of our favourites. Many thanks to the organising team, many challenges this year, but a wonderful event.

May I add my thanks to all those involved in the organisation of this event year after year. Your enthusiasm makes this great fun and even the weather didn't dampen the spirits too much. Well done everyone....

Thanks to all involved, think I need to camp again next year! Shame about the weather but as Andy (PhoenixCapri) says - we've always been so lucky, a wet RRG had to happen sometime!
