1991 309 1.3 GL
106k, will double check
MOT 5th August 2016
Issues:
Needs welding in the boot, see pics.
Oil leak, il include some oil. It's not terrible.
Makes a weird humming noise when it's warm, it's passenger side front - probably a wheel bearing or sticky brake.
Glovebox has a bathroom door lock on it.
Drivers window is a bit 'loose' as in you can pull it down with your hand, it's not broken, just a bit easy to unwind.
Boot doesn't have a key.
I've garaged it so not sure if the sunroof leaks, there is a faint water mark on the drivers seat so it might do. No promises.
Various us scratches you'd expect from a 24 year old car, roof is a bit flat.
Good points:
Brand new NSF Driveshaft/seal/box oil
New air filter
New fuel filter
New fuel pump
New tailored 309 specific car mats
CD player with AUX
Sony speakers
Long MOT
AA badge.
Manual choke
3 keys, one for the door, one for ignition & one I haven't found a use for.
According to my mechanic it's had a recent front arm and recent copper brake pipes
It starts and runs well. Brakes work well. It's full of retro charm.
Comes with a Haynes manual. And a pipe.
I don't know what else to say about it. It's cool, it's blue. Everyone looks at you & smiles at you. I always get waves & thumbs up.
I really don't know what to ask for it.. I paid £311 for it on standard wheels & have spent a fair bit on new parts for it.
I'd like £350 on standard steels/trims or £450 on 205 GTI speed lines with correct bolts.
It's got such a long MOT that you could use it as is and just get the welding done by MOT time, it's ripe for an XUD conversion IMO but the engine is a nice runner.
Located in Norfolk, it'll drive as far as you need it to. It's awesome.
