Deep gloss Burgundy Metallic with dark grey full leather interior. Recently renewed Black Mohair soft top.
Crisp Giugiaro design with clean lines of the 80s/90s. A real "New Timer" Retro-Ride classic. Considerably more interesting and rare than the contemporary frumpy shaped Golf mk3 convertible.
Drives very well with smooth 1.8 petrol injection engine and fine changing electronic AD4 automatic transmission.
Easy to operate hood and 4 electric windows. Can be driven closed, pillarless coupe or full open top.
Superb Karmann designed roof system with fully concealed hood under metal 'tonneau' with head rest 'power bulges'. Very civilized bluster free open top performance. Folding rear seat for through-loading and long ski-bag storage. Secure storage boot on separate central locking function allowing vehicle to be left parked roof down. A cabrio which retains much of the practicality of it's hatch origin.
Registered late 1992 on K plate.
Low mileage - 64,200 (increasing slightly with regular use. MoT to 26 March 2016.
Just fully serviced - engine oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs, coolant, auto oil, brakes all good.
Brand New exhaust system.

Nice set of relatively new alloy wheels - quite in keeping with style and in excellent condition.
Small very minor blemishes to body commensurate with age but nothing which detracts from overall good appearance, key points: Three small rust bubbles on leading edge of bonnet paint not broken. Surface blemish on RHR wheel arch flare top coat broken but very stable on no progressive rust. RHR bumper edge has a scratch right at the bottom, looks like it's caught a high kerb or something.
Any inspection welcomed and test drive (with evidence of insurance) or demo drive. When you come to view you will not be disappointed.
