The need for an interim set of vehicles saw the acquisition of this very lovely Volvo C70 T5, for the princely sum of £1100 earlier this week.
The car is finished in Moonstone Pearl (champagne/gold type colour), with recently refinished graphite alloys. Good tyres all round. 101k with full Volvo service history with stamped service book. MOT until Jan 2016. Advisories were 40mm chip in screen, handbrake and EML light was on. Supposedly fixed (as with the handbrake). More on that in a mo. Not the handbrake - that's fine. The EML. Guess what? Anyway, heated leather in pretty good condition (some wear on driver's seat, but not much). Electric seats and sunroof. 3 CD changer, ac, info centre etc. Everything works.
Bought it from a very nice man. Who told a bit of a fib. The ad said "no warning lights". To my amazement some four miles down the motorway the EML light came on. Ho Hum. The car gets a bit wheezy at about 5k rpm, but drives pretty well other wise.
Body wise it has scuffs on both bumpers, and a bit of paint crack on the rear mudguards. Has some minor rust bubbles on driver and passenger door (not broken through on passenger). Definitely not much, and should be easy to sort. Has three original keys, plus the service book. My interim need is now pretty much over, so time to move it on. Obviously only having bought it this week I only have the green slip, but happy to provide full receipt.
