Morning all (or evening, depending on when you're reading...) Can anyone recommend to me a decent car cover from personal experience? I'm sadly lacking in the garage department, so I'm looking at spending a bit on a decent car cover. I did previously have an eBay special, which, although it was huge & waterproof, wasn't really any good (to be fair it cost all of a tenner). Being as i now have decent paintwork on the car, I'd be keen to keep it that way, so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. I've heard good things about these so it's a good starting point....

Max only one i found one thats worthy of protection from the eliments of the winter its the Stormforce Monsoon fully waterproof .Its the only one i woud recomend for a dry car .The other The Voyager and this is for 12 months use and its breathable. You can check out the web site that sells them its Cover-Zone .Fully fitted mirrors and all ,a little large over the mirrors but they did come with pleanty of room in and roof vents ,so the air can circulate ,plus tie straps , you will pick them up from ebay. And it is best to shop around for the best price. Check - www.cover-zone.com ask for a brochure. And price list . What ever you choose put bed sheets over the bodywork and lie them on down to the bump stops so it wont rub the paint work, tie down to the door handles to secure .,.It said in the book that its safe to put right on to the car but if your like me i want extra protection and after i took it off in March it was like i had left it last year.don't have a chepo like i did as they let water in .

Years ago I bought a breathable cover from a quite well known car cover company for about £130, this lasted me quite well - 4 or 5 years then it started to degrade (presumably from UV). I bought a replacement from Halfords of all places which looked identical which I have been using for just over a year and in my opinion is just as good, and it only cost £50.

I use an outdoor carcoon, and it does look after the bodywork but does still get damp inside.

I checked mine every day ,it was as dry as a bone .But i had soft sheets all over the body down to and below the bump strip so it did not rub the paint .The covers are useable with out, but i did this just to be sure And you get three large straps that go under the car and fix to the skirt on the other side. And just for luck i purchased a drum af elasticated bungee cord, and made more up for the wind days we had.It never moved. Plus the cover as 4 breather flaps the fresh air gets in and circulates the cover. But no cover is like bricks and morter.Looking for a place to drop it in , and to get the car out next March .But for now its coverd lol

I bought a new cheap cover off greedybay for £12.00 inc post, wasn't expecting much for the money but boy was it rubbish, if you looked at it the wrong way it tore! didn't matter though as it only had to last 4 weeks to cover a spares car while we has house viewings!
