I've got a kit car that is based on a MK1 Mazda MX-5 that I'd like to bring along to the gathering on a club stand and enter the RWYB. I'd like to hear from someone at RRG on the following:
1) Do you accept kit cars into the fold or are they generally frowned upon (resulting in me having trouble getting in)?
2) Would this type of car be allowed to enter the RWYB hillcimb? I'd be really disappointed if I was turned down on the day.
Thanks.

I'd like to hear from someone at RRG on the following: Club stand pretty much anything goes and frequently does - RR is a pretty broad church for all things 1) Do you accept kit cars into the fold or are they generally frowned upon (resulting in me having trouble getting in)? We aren't a kit car forum - plenty of those already out there however that doesn't mean you aren't welcome at all. 2) Would this type of car be allowed to enter the RWYB hillcimb? I'd be really disappointed if I was turned down on the day. Thanks. Well you are eligible from one perspective being on a club stand the other criteria is pre 2000 - based on a MKI MX5 I'd say you should be fine unless you've built it as a new build and it's running a post 2000 reg then I think I'd like to see a picture to advise you more. There are a team of people running the paddock and sign on I'm just one of them but it's always good to see someone ask first rather than just turn up and expect - so you get a few internet credits for that

Its on an age-related plate, H reg from 1990, but it's one of the many "Lotus 7 inspired" kits so looks nothing like a MK1 MX-5. What are the chances I meet a paddock official who doesn't think it should be going up the hill?
