Just serviced with Genuine Toyota filter and Castrol engine and gearbox oils.
Original box that came with the car had worn syncros, just had a perfect replacement gearbox fitted.
Personally imported from Japan the car is in Ireland since Friday 12th June, I spent a lot of time waiting for the right car to come up at auction, only for sale due to change in circumstance. It's very very solid and original, it came to auction with 9 months Shaken (Japanese NCT/MOT)
Auction Grade R as modified and auction sheet shows it had previous repair to passenger wing. The inner arch, chassis leg etc are all 110% straight the auction sheet is attached to show nothing is hidden with this car, it will pass any inspection.
The underside is totally original not undersealed, no rot, no holes, no repairs or sections covered over in shultz or stonechip. Originally it was a 3d7 red but was colour changed. All door shuts and body panels are colour changed under the bonnet is still original but very tidy. The shell is exceptionally good for any twincam especially an early spec from the first 5 months of production
Paintwork is average to good, but I am fussy few small marks as per detailed pictures.Slight colour difference on the passenger door very hard to notice in person, the sills of the car were badly painted, and I had these repainted when the car landed. Before and after pictures available to show this is hiding no rot or damage purely asthethic reasons for paint.
Windscreen rubbers are very scruffy I have priced a set in Toyota and they are available at €112. Very good strong engine, Good low KM J gearbox just fitted due to the original having worn syncro's in first at a cost of £450 2way lsd. Recent new discs and project Mu pads all round.
Very comfortable on the road, very well set up suspension wise, the exhaust is quiet down low in the revs but has a really nice sound up the rev range. Interior plastics are good rear boot plastics complete including parcel shelf, rear quarter cards are cut for the roll cage legs. Dash has a crack above the clocks which is usual for these. Rare fishnet recaro bucket seats and rear GTV seats to match fabric
I personally imported this car and am very familiar with the prices at auction you will struggle to import in the same condition for the same money or less, as the prices are continuing to surge in the auctions and you will face a wait 10-12 weeks for it to arrive sight unseen.
Any more pictures or info I can give just ask, car is available for any inspection, but will not be driven without a large deposit and proof of insurance except by myself. Very simple process to register on a UK Plate cost of MOT plus DVLA fee's of £75 iirc I can investigate this and clarify for new buyer as I sold an R32 to the UK last year and can ask the buyer the exact process
I put the car in for NCT (MOT) today and it failed on a few minor issues
Horn not working ( loose wire on the Nardi wheel )
Body work Sharp edges (Rollcage cross bar bracket in the rear seats)
Loose rear suspension springs.
The rear springs are perfect but as lowering springs they are loose in the seat when the axle is not compressed on a lift. All other items on the NCT were well within range so it will be a very easy car to put through a re test. I would have appealed the suspension issue if it weren't for the other two small issues. May have car retested by time of sale as they are very simple issues.
