Time to install new boot weatherstrip rubber...it's the type which is glued on to body hence getting rubber to bond to body is important.
From experience, what is a good adhesive to use? Usual suspects are sikaflex, EVO stick contact adhesive, normal silicone etc...

The way I used to glue rubber trim to helecoptors, was to use evo stick, paint both surfaces, allow to dry, reactivate by painting one surface with mek ,gently press together, you may find it easier to paint the glue on if you thin it down a touch first. Mek - methyl eythyl ketone possibly available as plastic pipe cleaner/solvent Ttfn Glenn

Hi, whatever you use needs to be high temperature because bodywork can get hot.

I'd use Sikaflex.
