Up for sale is my trusty BMW 523i auto, 1998 E39 model in orient blue with 240,000 miles on the clock but it runs like a car with under half the mileage.
It comes with a service folder 2 inches thick of invoices and bills, including a cooling system and head rebuild at 193k. Recent new front brakes, rear brakes rebuilt last year, MOT until December this year, ice cold air-con, smooth as silk 6 cylinder engine and auto gearbox with manual over ride. Comes complete with a full set of spare, good turbine alloys fitted with winter tyres and has 4 great condition turbine original alloys fitted. Grey cloth interior (I actually prefer cloth to leather) all in great condition, burr walnut trim, cruise control, steering wheel mounted controls, 2 original keys.
Only known fault is that both rear windows are inoperative due to failed regulators, and as I almost never carry back seat passengers and it has air-con I've not been too worried about fixing this. A few minor rust blisters here and there that have been sorted previously but are showing again, nothing structural and not too noticeable in the lovely dark blue paintwork.
Looking for an offer around £500 please, have a look on ebay for tatty examples with no MOT offered for export at similar money - this is a car you could drive 24/7 from the moment you bought it, such is the reliability and service record.
I need a large hatch or estate now and this isn't suitable for me anymore, plus after 2 years I'm looking for a change anyway. This will make a great bargain for someone, please contact me on here and if you need more details just ask.
