I have recently bought the ex john cross 4wd zakspeed engine rally cross fiesta. It is minus the engine and gearbox etc but I am hoping to restore it as much as is financially possible! I'm looking for any pics etc of it in action or stood still to help with the resto. Or if you have any other info please share!
Here are a few pics which I have of it from I'm guessing the early 90's

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Autocross used to be in Bracknell didn't they ? I think Old Ford Spares are on the same site now, wonder if any of the old staff still work there and could help. Just looked and Autocross are still around but in Wokingham here www.autocrossltd.com/

Just looked and Autocross are still around but in Wokingham here www.autocrossltd.com/ Ive now spoken to John Cross himself who built and raced the car and he is willing to send me all the older build pics and any other info/pics he has which is great as this car is in need of a full resto.
But if you guys know anything else then please share as I'm trying to get a folder together of all the info.

Oh My now that is nice.
Forgive me for the hijack, I don't know much about this setup but what is that being driven off the Exhaust camshaft pulley? Supercharger?

I updated Nathan on FB, that belt / pulley / jack shaft runs the alternator and hydraulic pump for the center diff. It had the first kind of active center diff, using various inputs including boost to control the torque split

Yeah pretty sure that is the engine which was then changed in around 92 when the group b engines were banned and was replaced with a restricted YB motor.

Going to start with getting the shell right with regards reversing any metal work mods then paint etc, then hope to get it rolling whilst I try and gather up enough parts to build an engine.

This is what I have now after stripping the shell. You can see some parts have changed over the years which once I have the original build pics will be changed back to as it should be. And this is the paint scheme I think I'm going with as after speaking to john cross he told me this was his favourite.

If your interested johns new company is called X sport racing and is based in Basingstoke www.xsportracing.comnever thought to put 2 & 2 together, a friend has an X-Sport cage in a 306 and it is a pretty good job, definitely one of the better cages I've seen short of a works rally cage but I guess that's down to what the customer originally asked for as much as anything. Not really a new company either! been going since 2002
