Hello Again Retro Rides.
I am in need of some help in respect to a little matter.
I am looking at buying a new truck, it is advertised with a place that breaks and sells commercials. The truck is advertised with no MOT, I usually like to buy them with a load of MOT on them so I don't have to worry about it for a year but that isn't the case here.
Some research suggests that the MOT ran out in feb this year, I asked the seller if the truck had been submitted and failed, or just left to expire and then traded in. He said he did not know. I asked him at the same time for the V5 reference number to check online but did not get a response.
Is there any other way I can check when a vehicle was last submitted for an MOT? I have thought about popping into my local MOT tester and asking them, but I remember asking a tester once for a copy of my mot certificate and he would not issue me another unless I could provide the green slip or V5 so that kind of throws a spanner at that.
Is my only option going and viewing the truck and persisting for the V5 reference number so that I can check it on my phone when I am viewing?
Any suggestions or help in respect to this would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.
