I have decided after much deliberation that I'm just not going to be able to finish off my sud. With two other projects on the go, traveling and a new business adventure this unfortunately has to go as I also just don't use it enough, I don't really want to sell and I'm probably going to regret selling it in the future but, there's not a lot I can do about it at the moment.
So, the car. Is a 1983 sud sc 1.5. Mileage 53371 which I can back up as have loads of old mots and paperwork for it. It has been well looked after over the years. Mot'd till end of August, Mechanically it's had a fair amount of work, converted to twin 36 dellortos with ported heads, done by the previous owner. It's also had a gearbox change to an Alfa 145 gearbox iirc I just need to double check the details. Can't find them ATM. Will update when I do though. I brought it when it had been lowered. Very low in fact but the ride was too firm for my liking so have converted it back to standardish guise in the form of 30mm lowering springs. Have replaced the front dampers including bearings, bump stops and gaiters as the old ones were shot. Rears were fine, since changing these I have probably done about 5 miles so they could do with some bedding in as the fronts look higher than the rears one side also looks worse due to our very uneven driveway. Have had some welding done in previous years such as the nearside wing rail and both jacking points. When I purchased it I did strip all wheel arches back to metal and repainted them and undersealed the arches also. Have been gathering parts as iv gone along and it will come with some spares, front and rear bumpers, front splitter, not sure what it's called, will get a picture of it, spare heads, bonnet, 5 steels with tyres an exhaust manifold outboard brake type.
Exterior wise it looks poor but underneath it's very solid. Off side sills are good and underneath is very good bar the drain hole on the drivers side. Has some rust around it. Interior is good except the drivers seat which is very dirty but have a good second had cover which will come work it. Everything works as it should inside, all the controls, clocks intermittent, boot floor is good also, I'd say all it would need is a respray, a few little jobs sorting and your away.
Not really sure what else to say really, price wise, I'd like around the £1600 mark but would like it to go to a good home and am going to be reasonable on it so you can make an offer. Just don't insult me any questions please feel free to ask. Viewing can be arranged via pm on here, as it stands it runs, stops, moves etc but as it hasn't moved for about 6 months id advise trailer as brakes could do with adjusting and clutch does work but feel that could also do with looking at. Tyres are good bar one on the offside rear which is perishing for some reason. Have probably missed more out but will update if more comes to mind. Thanks for reading. Dave
