Right, Well i bought this at the beginning of the year with a view to getting it up together as a track car. previous owner had taken it off the road to paint it, stripped it out and lost interest....
Its a 3dr , No sunroof, original mars red car.
Lowered on coilovers and near new hankook low profile tyres on mk1 caddy steels. I had a friend of a friend whos handy with a welder put a drivers sill in it, and a rear n/s arch panel , But the work stopped there. I havnt had any time since, and the Van i had with a towbar to trailer it is now sold.
Its all come to a head now as we've decided to downsize and as such ill be losing my garage.... This has to go...
GOOD POINTS
* New sill and arch (mostly rust free )
*runs and moves under its own power
*new waterpump and cambelt just before i got it
*no sunroof so suited to track use
*new headlights
*newish fuel tank by the looks of it
*cheap but working coilovers
*rear OMP strut brace
BAD POINTS
*Needs windscreen (previous owner cracked it removing it)
*needs seats (some mk3 seats included, i was going to adapt to fit and put seat covers on just for using it)
*needs brakes (spare calipers and new drums included)
* couple of patches of welding possibly, But nothing structural , It seems solid, But the rear lower panel (valance) is a bit frilly
*needs seat belts (some supplied but i was thinking of fitting harnesses)
*paint is a patchwork of prevous owners scratch repairs etc. Could do with paint, Or rattle can it ?
In all fairness, The work required to get it on the road, Is probably a weekends work. If that. Its making it look tidy thats the work.
to get it on the road, it realy only needs brakes sorting, a windscreen, and seats.... easy peasy... not so easy when you now work 6 days a week......
