If you're going to use the M20/A20 for Dover, a warning!
Once through the Roundhill Tunnel and on the A20, you may see signs saying something like “Port Traffic use nearside lane” and a queue of trucks in that lane.
Do not join the queue, it's for freight only, private cars (campers too!) should use the offside lane and go straight into the port.
This because the extra customs checks are delaying traffic and the trucks now queue on the A20, not sure how these extra checks affect non-freight traffic, might be worth checking with your ferry operator.
And the speed cameras are live and it is 40 mph!
I hope to join everyone, but if I don't have a safe journey and a good time.
