As above, I am deciding what pump to go for on my RST.
While on the move the car's charge temps are surprisngly cool! However, they don't half creep in traffic! That is without a pump in the system as well!
I am debating on what pump to get. My car runs a revised setup of the Pace chargecoolar system with a bigger chargecooler radiator. The pump the car came with cannot really be fitted due to space issues under the bonnet ; it was a Davis Craig EWP80!
The Focus RS chargecooler pump came to mind and I figured that should do the trick as well as the Mercedes W124 300TD item. What do you guys reckon?
Yes I could go for an intercooler but at 18PSi with an RST it would almost certainly require me taking a holesaw and/or angle grinder to the bodywork due to space issues...

I have a Bosch coolant pump from a W210 E300TD you can have for £20 + postage if you're interested.
It was going to be an electric replacement for my A-series Mini but I sold the car.
I'm pretty sure those Davies Craig pumps are for engine coolant circulation btw!

Right, I reckon I may well go for that . Do you have pics and sizes of it? I take it that it is similar to the W124 and FRS pump? At some point I reckon my car ran the shorter Pace chargecooler radiator, thus it could not stay so cool. Besides building the car more for show the guy decided to put two huge tanks in the rear. What I have been doing (or I think I have been!) is slowly reverting the car back to stock inside and giving the car back quite a chunk of its form . It is already handling better.

Hello Yes, want to PM me your email or number? It's the common OEM bosch one used on all mercedes. He will have fitted big tanks because charge cooling water absorbs heat from the charge cooler under boost & radiates most heat slowly back through the front radiator during off boost periods. So smaller tanks result in quicker heat soak thus less ability for the coolant to absorb heat between periods under boost. It's in the book

My focus wouldn't boost at all when the pump packed up.
The ecu had a built in boost cut when it detected hight charge temps.
Fitting any pump is going to greatly help your situation.
I've seen people using caravan pumps on a budget.
I rebuilt my original focus pump usin a guide from the Rs owners club
