Time to sell another one. This time it's a jelly mould. It's a 1 owner car from new with low mileage on the clock. 1989 Ford Sierra L 1598cc 63,828 miles 12 Months MOT from 11/06/15 (2 advisories) The car was parked up for many years by the previous elderly owner. Since I've taken it on I have done the following; Fully Restored Radiant Red Paintwork (RUPES) Coolant flush and replace Engine oil and filter Spark plugs 2 Rear Wheel Cylinders (seal failures) Rear brake pipe (split when removing cylinders) Full brake fluid flush Air filter Ignition leads Still to do which will be completed before sale Front Pads and Discs (Discs heavily rusted) Cambelt and Tensioner It's a fantastic example of the Sierra and it's not been modified in any way shape or form. It would look absolutely fantastic lowered on some banded steels (believe me I'm tempted) It drives fantastic, pulls really well through the gears. No knocks, rattles or crunches and the pinto sounds nice and quiet. The interior is really good, there are no rips in the fabric on the seats at all, no sagging in the bolsters either. The dash is in good order, all the instruments work. Everything works as it should. Sunroof is immaculate. I'll let the pictures do the talking. If you're interested in viewing the car. Drop me a private message on here and we can arrange it. Thanks for looking. loads more pics available on request.

‘Jelly mould’ is a nickname term that the motoring press gave the Sierra when it was released as the car was not boxy and more 'jelly mould' like compared to the more conventionally styled Cortina it replaced. Hence all Sierras can be called jelly moulds. Nice car.

Sorry, only just noticed these comments. As the others have said it was called a jelly mould due to its rounded aerodynamic lines.
Thanks for the compliments on it, Sierras are a great car to drive. Really comfortable.

Ok update time. I've taken some more photographs that give a more detailed view of the key areas of the Sierra. OSR wheel arch, slight bubbling towards the bottom at the front. Otherwise solid. Close up of that area. NSR wheel arch, totally solid and rott free. OSR passenger door top, slight blemish to the paint as can be seen. NSF wing, rock solid and all ok. NS outer sill, as you can see the whole length is very solid and clean. Same again on the OS. Really clean, strong and solid. I'll take some more pictures of the interior as that is very clean and tidy and looks 'unlived in'.

Bump, Has now had -40mm springs fitted all round. A much nicer modern look to it. Handles much better with a lot less body roll. Originals will be supplied with the car.

WHY HAS NOBODY BOUGHT THIS?!? Chris Wow this is very nice. Would have expected it to be snapped up Thanks guys, being 100% honest, I've not had one person call me about it or even come to see it. Had plenty of texts and emails making me ridiculous offers without even seeing it. I don't reply to those unfortunately as I would never offer money on a car without making the effort to see it first. Anyway, thanks for the Bumps. If it doesn't go there's a set of 13" steels just begging to be banded for it

The mind truly boggles.
I'd just keep it in the garage and drive it from time to time. I wouldn't modify it or anything. Oh, and I'd stick it on the books of a TV car company for hire - stuff like this is hard to find.

The problem is sierras havn't quite hit the maximum desirability level yet so things like 1.6l hatches get over looked in favour of sapphires, it's a lovely looking car and if I was in the market for one I would snap it right up, it's no big deal if it doesn't sell, it's only going to rise in value if you keep it nice, I'd say get those Little bits sorted and love it

And if the money was there I would be on my way to get it and do just what Chris said. Unfortunately I have no funds or room. Hopefully this will sell soon.
