that is a stunning picture, even with dust on it and funky lighting from shop lights. The proportions and perfect to my eye. And that lovely rear window glass is great. Love the wheels and offsets, chrome trim accents, real bumpers, ect, ect....
Another aspect of the car is how the side glass seems to continue on as one lonnnnnng opening...then the body line arcs down at just the right moment......
getting carried away....maybe too much coffee this morning....
well done

She is legal. And after a quick wash, drove around the hood, stopped at a friend's place for a beer, and came home in a downpour. I can report that she is relatively watertight. WAY too noisy inside. As you accelerate, it sounds like an entire amplified Tuba section in the rear. Something needs to be done there. I'll drive it, no chance Mrs NOHOME will. WTF is with the return springs on the Fitech? Seriously, I have been on gym equipment that gives me less of a leg workout. Going to need to roll the rear fender lips. I thought it was going to be OK, but the car settled over one inch on the drive and started to rub on both rear tires. Bit of camber would help, but it gonna be Hella. First time I have been able to stand back and take a look at the car since it was painted and assembled. I think it looks awesome. I took the rear "gills" off because I have not found a way to fasten them and did not want to risk losing them.

That looks really good on the road.
I’m not fully conversant with the Americans way of speaking, when you say you drove around the hood, does that mean the bonnet (engine lid)? 😀

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

Ya never know, most of my car friends have no idea what a bonnet or a wing is when used in automotive terms. I am pretty happy, but there is still a lot of development to do if it is going to be the car I set out to build. This is the rolling stage of development where a lot of people flounder because they are exhausted from the build and it is not yet what they want it to be. So stay tuned...

Sorry but I don't think "awsome" is a strong enough description, That car looks stunning, You should be really proud of the job you have done on it from fabrication, engineering / welding, bodywork prep and interior work, You now have a car worthy of your efforts, well done, Nigel

But nothing says v8 like the sound. Maestro if you please... As you wish I love this Volvo, an awesome end result for all your hard work. A real wolf in sheep clothing, youd never guess by looking at it that there was so much going on under the skin.

Parked up outside like that it just looks like a nicely restored old Volvo with modern wheels. It is SO sneaky.

This has to be one of my favourite cars I've seen in the last 10 years. Everything about it is "right". Bjorn, thank you for unleashing this on the world. You rock

Leaving behind the teething issues after the first drive a pic of the driving environment as it is. Still a lot of details to attend to but I think I can live with what I see. At first I had planed on getting rid of the Volvo door panels with the scrunchy map pockets. They seem to have grown on me for some season because they are so Volvo in nature.

This would be even nicer if the carpet and lower dash were died/painted to be a better match (or nicer contrast) with the seats and doorcards. I think those typical Volvo door cards belong right where they are!
