Just looking for ideas of keeping wiring nice and neat. Obviously I've seen how some of the dub boys do it and to be honest I find that curse word worthy by way out of my league. I've used some of the black conduit stuff before as in the pic. I know there's not many options out there just want to see anything else you guys have done ![](http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r116/bighed123/Mobile%20Uploads/20150610_181803_zpsv5a8eexy.jpg)

I have been using this streatchy mesh stuff with a bit of heat shrink at either end. Its a bit more flexible than conduit and looks quite smart. ![](http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh114/ttr7/20141117_213315_zpsmhktaw0e.jpg) Sorry I don't have a better picture.

Ive been re-wrapping my loom recently with the old style black cloth tape then heat-shrinking over all the connections for a nice clean look it hides a multitude of manky-ness.

Go to BMW parts department and as for the factory tape . It's black and looks fluffy when fitted just like the factory install
You can finish the ends off with black heat shrink if your really going to town.

The times I've looked. The mesh "conduit" is available cheaper if you don't buy stuff labels "automotive" but get general wiring sleaving. You get abrasion resistant and flame resistant stuff as well.
Called all sorts of Stuff but searing braided sleeving etc usually gets you it.

I am quite sad when it comes to wiring! I try and remove as much from the engine bay as possible and then make a feature of it in a hidden place that only I will ever see.... ![](http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah24/aseriesandy/Misc/P1030606_zpsjffjtui9.jpg)

Surely the copper pipes in that mini need to be highly polished? Nice way of doing it though, or at least a cheap way of doing it if it's just lying around anyway...

I had to rebuild a Merc v8 engine loom once. The insulation on all the wires perished, cracked and started falling off: ![](http://www.utterpiffle.com/Cars/Benz/w140%20500SE/Loom/02.JPG) By the time I took the loom apart, it looked like this: ![](http://www.utterpiffle.com/Cars/Benz/w140%20500SE/Loom/04.JPG) Not ideal. Amazed that the thing ran at all! After 2 evenings of swearing and building a new one on my (mercedes v12) coffee table: ![](http://www.utterpiffle.com/Cars/Benz/w140%20500SE/Loom/10.JPG) And tadaa, saved about 800 quid on buying one from the dealership... ![](http://www.utterpiffle.com/Cars/Benz/w140%20500SE/Loom/18.JPG)

Your right. can't believe I took a photo pre polish! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) In my defence it had been sat in the garage for five years and someone must have stole the shine when my back was turned. I can't usually walk past a copper pipe without polishing it, you should see my boiler at home and the funny look the gas man gave me when he came to repair it!

I use the nylon overbraid stuff too. It expands/shrinks as you make it longer/shorter so you can fit several different sizes of loom in one spec of braid. Definitely needs heatshrink or insulting tape to stop the ends fraying and looking cack though. No very good pics easily to hand, but here's a bit I haven't got round to re-doing with proper connectors and braid yet, compared to bits that I have ![](http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Nik_da_Greek/FB%20RX-7%201985/Temperature%20switch_zpstfitravq.jpg) And here's the injector/resistor loom on my FD ![](http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Nik_da_Greek/RX-7%20Finale/newloom.jpg)
