Well, not a find as we knew it was there ! it was my grandads for years and he gave it my three lads when he stopped driving, we took it to my in laws who have a field, they drove it round a few times and it got locked in a barn.
So, it was not too bad when it got put in there, the engine was sweet and it wasnt terminally rotten, a bit on the rear arches, Its been in a dry, well aired barn since then but hasnt moved in maybe three years.
I would love for it to go to someone who could recommission it, do something with it, if not the scrap man cometh as my father in law wants his barn back.
It is white with a grey interior, 92 K reg, cant remember the mileage but it was fairly low.
It would need to be trailered from near Manchester airport.
I don't want to scrap it, not saying it is too good for that but want to give someone the option to save it. I drove it over to the in laws and really quite enjoed it, gruff, willing little K series 1.1, loads of glass, decent handling.
Price wise, just want whatever I would get for scrap, technically it belongs to my kids as my grandad gave it them so I would give them the scrap value, so make me a ridiculously low offer !

Chaps, this is still on so to speak, just not had chance to get round to the in laws to dig it out, bear with me, going to pop round after work one day this week.
Would be interested to see what plans anyone would have for it ?

Ok, have dug it out, it fired up with a freshly charged battery and sounds sweet, car has only done just over 40k, I have offered it to the first chap who responded so will see if he still wants it, otherwise will put it back on offer, it hadn't deteriorated having been in a dry barn, as mentioned, engine seems fine, slight fuel leak from a gasket on the fuel injection carb type thing, but of rust in the rear arches, rest of the body is fine. I am not letting it go for less that £100 really as that is scrap value and it is better than that, got £80 for the last one we killed, it is well worth it, with a bit of work will make a half decent retro ride for £100 ! plenty of life left in it given the mileage.
Must be able to collect from Ashley near Manchester airport, I suspect it would drive ok but it hasnt got an MOT so I would suggest it is towed or trailered.

Just remembered this,
This is two of my lads using it with my dad being bounced around, the idea as it would love out its days being used for this kind of antics but it made a bit of a mess of the field and annoyed my father in law who owns the field so it was put in a barn where it has sat ever since. They had a diesel one before this but it was a pig to keep running, someone did 140,000 in it, for that they deserve a medal, all those miles in a non turbo diesel Metro, that is commitment !
The music is my brothers band, pretty good song isnt it ?
Wish I had got a video of my eldest sliding my 944 S2 cab round in the field, he enjoyed that even more than the Metro.
