I'm looking at getting the inserts replaced on a set of alloy wheels. The inserts are steel and are completely rusted out. I can buy new inserts here: www.raceways.co.uk/wheel_washers_and_conversion_washers_.htmApart from getting the correct insert, is this something that can be done DIY, or should I take it to an engineering place?

If you can get the old ones out and the newbies are the same size I can't see It being that hard.

Are they Daihatsu wheels? PCD is wrong though.

Yes, Enkei 13" wheels. The PCD is 110mm. The centre bore is big enough to fit over the massive hub mounting rings on these cars. My engineer chum cleaned the stud holes today and can see the insert has completed rusted out at the back. There is barely anything left on the front. The port should have been much narrower and you can see the ridges were from the insert that was pressed in in the hole. They could be knocked out and a new insert popped in. No idea how much it would cost.
