I have only owned this car for a few months, but my insurance ran out and as it is summer I will be riding my bike to work so this is just going to sit until winter. I think it is too nice to only use in Winter and the speed bumps at work will eventually seriously mess up the exhaust. Also I can`t get my girlfriend insured as a learner, so need to find something more sensible (boring) to use and teach her to drive in.
I have MOT`s from 1995 onwards. Receipts for a new fuel tank and stainless exhaust fitment, in 2011, H&R 60/40MM lowering kit and Powerflex bush kit, 2012, totaling £450. Front wheel bearing kit 2013. Radiator 2014. And more for smaller items.
The previous owner told me he had the head ported and polished with a new head gasket fitted, but there is no proof for this. There is also a 8k rev limiter and different throttle body fitted, again, no receipts for this work.
It also has, G40 rear lights, clear front and side indicators and a new battery with the battery tray being welded. I have the receipt for that somewhere.
There are a few issues with the car of course. It will need a new top mount on the N/S/F for the MOT. The tire on the same corner will need replacing (but I have two spare wheels to go with the car, one with a new tire fitted). There is damage to the O/S/F wing as can be seen in the pictures. The car has at some point been keyed down both sides and a small one on the boot lid. There are a couple of holes in the drivers seat and a fag burn on the rear seat base. Also there is a strange and only occasional coolant leak from a plug in the radiator. It doesn`t always leak, it seems to depend on the pressure build up, but I`m not sure. The exhaust is blowing, because I had to more the bracket between the middle and rear sections and it kept coming loose when going over the speed bumps at work.
It has a sunroof that does not leak. No leaks into the car which I am impressed by. Head unit with a aux input. A box of spare parts, the two spare proper GT wheels with good tires, oil and filter ready for a change.
The car is off the road parked up in our car park. It is SORN`d and I am no longer insured on it. It can be driven around the car park, but it`s not going to be much of a test drive.
Any question, do ask, I am sure I have forgotten some things. Any more photos, just ask. I will try and get some more photos of the key marks, but they are hard to focus on.
