I need to cancel my rd tax today as its the last day of the month but I also need to mot the car tomorrow, can I do this?

Yes. You are allowed to drive to a pre-booked MOT without road tax.
You need an MOT to be able to tax a car, so it has to be able to be driven to an MOT centre without road tax - otherwise you'd be in an MOT/Tax catch 22...

Make sure you give the MOT station your reg number in case you have any problems as well.

Thanks guys, ive just sorned it, but its saying the sorn wont start till tomorrow the 1st june, so will they still try and steal another months tax from me?

Don't think so - if SORN starts on 1st June then there's no tax liable from 31st May. So you should get a refund for June onwards re. any existing tax paid.
