Up for sale is my Mk2 Granada Estate.
I was planning on another BMW Diesel conversion as I have done in my saloon but I have bought a 4 door Mk2 escort and need an engine for that instead so the Granada must go.
The car has done 134,000 miles and has a current MOT until December 2015. I have No service history or other documents apart from the current MOT and the V5. The engine is a 2.0 pinto with a 4 speed gearbox.
The car will start with the aid of a booster pack as the battery that is fitted is poor but may take a charge (ill try this in the next few days. Once the car is running its runs well but hunts on tickover as I believe the carb may need a clean or a little change in the timing.
The rear diff is noisy due to what looks like leaking seals but I have another that will come with the car.
Inside, the interior is dirty and needs a clean and the front seats are a slightly different colour of blue so must have been changed at some point in its life.
Outside, the car is mainly straight and has had a respray in the past. There are a couple of scabs on the bodywork, mainly around the tops of the wings, a couple on the doors, the front edge of the bonnet, around the passenger rear arch and around the passenger rear light. The tailgate struts are also weak and ideally need changing. The car has a had a few patches in the past, some repairs look better than others but all are to MOT requirements. The car did have a red pinstripe down the side that I removed but it just needs the glue removing/polishing off.
