1980 Jaguar XJ6 Series 3 4.2. 86K miles, last owner since 1989, been laid up since 1995. Maroon (non metallic) with biscuit leather interior.
I don't know a lot about this car to be honest as I bought it from the widow of the previous owner. It has done very little mileage since 1989 but it had quite a bit of work carried out In the early to mid 90s. Apparently the car cost £3000 in 1989 and the same amount was spent getting the bodywork sorted including one new wing, new rear valance, replacement bumpers and a new windscreen at that time. From what I can see, no welding is needed however there is slight bubbling at the bottom of the passenger wing and on the leading edge of the passenger rear arch and there are some scratches on the drivers wing top.
The previous owner was working on the back axle, doing what I'm not sure but I did notice that the radius at a are both missing. The car rolls but I have not tried to turn the engine or start it so far. The interior is in superb condition though and all four hub caps are included.
I haven't had it long but a series 2 Daimler Sovereign came along a week after this did and that's what I was after, blooming typical!
Looking to get £800, car in Aberdeen.
I will upload some better photos later on but here is a one I took when I first got it, my apologies for the poor quality
