Hi guy's,
Due to a continues change of circumstances I am now having to sell on my Manta A for someone to hopefully bring back to its former glory.
The car is a 1973 Manta A 1900
1 Former family owned
(When new the car was bought by the husband, when he passed away the wife became the second owner)
53,000 original miles
(still has original service book which is stamped up to 43,000)
The car has been sitting since February 2000, till I picked it up last year where it has sat in my dads garage.
The car is virtually original and complete apart from,
Windscreen washers wired into a switch on column
Rear panel hinged to fold down (maybe he thought he was James Bond)
Tow Bar
Missing one chrome trim for the wheel
As you can see from these pics and earlier ones from newbie post, the car does need some welding and body work. The worst is a couple of sections of the front passenger side chassis which need to be replaced, i have seen these sections regularly advertised on ebay.
Since I have had the car, I have,
Sourced a key for the locks and barrel
Washed
hoovered
electronic ignition
plugs
ignition leads
Rotor Arm
Distributor Cap
Coil
Front tyres (wrong size but move able)
Temp push button start (ignition switch faulty)
The car starts first time with a squirt of fuel in the carb, and runs nice as you would expect.
The items I have found that need to be sourced which cant been seen on the pics,
Interior carpet
Roof lining
Fuel tank
Ignition switch
Clutch is stuck on (I may try to release this if I get a chance)
The underside needs to be wire brushed and under sealed
Overall this is a good honest example which has not even had a stereo fitted or holes for speakers.
I have no idea what it is worth, but to meet the rules and a starting point I will say £2000 ONO
Open to offers,
Erol
