I know it's an odd question this time of year, but what antifreeze do you use in your alluminuim engine?
Dropping a new Rover V8 into my TR7 and I need to buy some, what do you recommend?
Thanks,
Steve

I use the long life red in the P100 but older style blue in anything with BRASS rads, the red stuff only likes alloy parts not brass.

How well does that stuff work? And if you do spring a leak can you use water/ coolant mixtures to get you home?

However, I'm currently using Bluecol universal to top up the Vauxhall stuff.

Just as long as you have no leaks. It ain't cheap... Less chance of a leak as there is no pressure in the system How well does that stuff work? And if you do spring a leak can you use water/ coolant mixtures to get you home? I haven't had any overheating issues since I put it in, Mixing with water would be a big big no no.
