BMW E34 5 series fitted with an E36 M3 3.2 engine and 5 speed gearbox from a E36 3.0 M3.
The engine from an E36 M3 evo along with the stronger box from the non evo E36 3.0 model was fitted along with the ECU.
This started life as a E34 525i touring which also has the addition of a full length sun roof / moon roof which is still working and still retains a level of comfort thanks to the compliant 525i suspension. Its certainly not lowered to the ground and going to rattle your fillings out helped by the 17" Schnitzers and Continental Contisport Contact tyres.
The engine and gearbox work faultlessly and pull really strong. All the electrics work as they left the factory, windows, lights etc etc
Another plus point is the full length sun/moon roof which is still working perfectly and i believe quite rare in working condition at this stage of its life anyway
Its still on Irish plates and will require some front brake pads/disks to get through the N. Irish MOT. Its also still a 525i on the Irish tax book and the engine has now been fitted 3.5 years.
The interior has been changed from the grey cloth to black leather which was pretty difficult to source for a touring estate model. The only part missing are the door cards. There are some spare parts here also including strut brace, filters etc etc
Bad points would be some tiny spots of rust appearing around the rear arches beside the rear bumper but limited to the surface at present. There are some dings and dents on the bodywork but overall its still in great shape.
S50B32 E36 M3 engines and gearboxes are starting to command silly money as good examples become harder to find (circa £3k on ebay for an engine and £500 for a gearbox). The early example of the E34 M5 had similar horsepower as this with 311hp but were all limited to left hand drive so it would make a great basis for someone to make it look like a proper M5 touring in RHD with the power to match.
The car is based in Newry in the north of Ireland and 45 minutes from either Dublin's or Belfast's airports.
