Due to imminent loss of storage, some of my projects have to go and this is the first.
Its an 89 Carlton which was fitted with the 1998cc 8v and autobox. The engine, trans, prop, engine loom, ECU and front exhaust have gone to another project but this is too good and becoming MUCH too rare to just weigh in!
The only welding needed as far as I can see, is to the rearmost 6 inches of the outer sills and a bit of fettling to the rear lower corners of the rear doors. In addition the osf lower corner of the screen has delaminated a bit, but it was like this when I bought it 2 years ago with 12 months MOT!
Front Chassis legs and turrets are excellent and need no work and the whole pan is good. there has been a small plate been put in near one back spring mount but otherwise its all original and good. The interior is all good except for a couple of bits of headliner which need glueing back and oozes 80s kitsch. There is even a period Pioneer stereo.
So you only have to decide on a powerplant! Personally, I favour a SBC to make a Holden Commodore-a-like. But it will just as easily accept a GSi 6 pot or almost any other V8 you can think of!
I drove the car relatively recently and the brakes are good and the axle is quiet. No cat, no airbags and no ABS so its relatively straightforward to work on. Has a working manual sunroof, 4 working electric windows and working central locking.
PM me on here for more details or give me a bell on 07585 977030.
Cheers, Steve

Sorry not all the pictures came up, i'll add some more tonight. Also I have a V5 in my name. Mileage (FWIW) is 132k, no MOT, it was last tested in May 2013 and has only covered about 500 miles since the test in May 2012. I know it should be obvious but it WILL need to be trailered away!
