....last time he was on our shores. Looking for his beer at 3 in the morning Rumour has it that Minion boy has an Rx2. Think that's a bit of an urban legend as no one has seen it for years. Probably scrapped and sold for beer....

Cut all the sharp bits off the compressor and filled it up with water Connected up the hydro pressure tester Pumped it up to 15bar, nearly double what it will run at And then.......

Not a bang. Not a whimper. Nada. Zilch Zonke. Half an hour passed and pressure didn't drop. Happy in the knowledge that it's structurally sound. Wil give it a lick of paint,a new pressure relief valve, replace the ancient pressure switch, all the old wiring and then it can provide air for the plasma cutter.

This tank is quite a porky little bar steward. Couldn't quite figure out why. The safety valve is also a lot bigger that what I am used to. Cleaned it up with a wire brush Look at that blow off pressure 😳😳😳 That would explain it then. This tank is obviously very thick wall construction. So,my working pressure is minimal. So got it home and rolled her onto her back Quick dry enamel drying time in days, not hours. Did this side after work tonight Had the head off to look at the valves It hadn't been making pressure as quick as I thought it should. Bit of a Heath Robinson bodge would explain that and the slight knocking noise Old slotted nut, hacked off at an angle and bodged into the inlet valve cartridge. Nothing major to fix. Exhaust side also needs a bit making, again not a big issue

That's starting to come together rather well indeed... Swear it looks like something from an episode of Red Dwarf... Although while it's off my OCD would dictate that the head and the fins were clean enough to match the rest

If it can be fixed with a hammer, then it must be an electrical fault

Don't know how well this is going to work, but I started a map with all the places I have had parts for this car. Only car parts, not bits and bobs for tooling or machines. New to this map thing. Hope it works! mapfling.com/q57iff6And I seriously doubt anyone, without inside information, could guess where the next lot of bits are coming from 😳😂

Bit more Christine tine this weekend. Exhaust valve disassembled Sprocket looking like oogee maflip is worn out. The springs have a small lug that should locate into one of the eight holes, that you can put the second spring in 180 degrees away from the first. It stops the two springs spooning like this Actual valve very worn, so will flip that over New bit made Valve retainers seen better days, so made new Whoever came up with the bright idea of making a thread with eleven and a half tpi, should be ragged, shagged, debagged, and left with a tinglingarsehole.

Originally a one way valve used in water systems, this had been cobbled into the arrangement with the use of a brazing torch It's just a massive restriction, from 11/4" down to about 5/16" internal. Not good Proper unloading valve and pressure switch fitted. Brand new, secondhand, never been raced or rallied....and free Reconditioned valve assemblies going back into the freshly exhaust paint, painted head Motor got cleaned up, coat of red oxide followed by Fords best model A paint As far as assembly could go whilst waiting for paint to dry....the joys of winter, not

Awesome, read as always I'm sure this has been covered before but would you mind my asking what you do professionally? I'm an engineer myself and the length and breadth of your knowledge and skills is incredible.
