They take the best part of a day to make. I have about 7 guys in the states badgering me plus one in Karachi. I have one day a weekend to do my stuff. So that's 2 months of no progress on my car. Not going to happen...... reading bewtween the lines, i'm getting a vague verging on indefinite undertone that you don't want to do it? By Jove, I think you have got it .....

Skip!? Noooooo!
If I'd made anything that nice I'd make the damn car fit the panels. +1 Love it! THAT....^^^^^ Is worthy of a signature line. Better be - I keep thinking I have read an old page every time I open up the thread and see shiney bits in an old skip - The way your drive for perfection is going and Grizz dropping over and raiding parts out of the skip he will have an Rx2 finished before you - albeit 97.6231% full size. Would fit in the lockup with the bumpers on though. Now this comment had me screeching like a witch falling in her own couldron That was a very astute observation.

Just spent the morning reading from the start from a link from Grizz's thread. Totally in awe of what has been done and the tools involved. Looking forward to many more updates, keep at it. Same here. Lol Without doubt the best build thread anywhere, attention to detail and a willingness to make one off tooling is the mark of a truly gifted engineer. Will be checking back regularly, got to get my engineering fix in somehow, 13 years since I was hands on and still missing it. Neil. PS: Thanks grizz

Why thank you sir. You might be onto something there. I always put down the willingness to make tools for once off use to being dropped on the head repeatedly as a baby......

Well, it's pretty much a no car weekend. But all is not lost. Was pleased to see this had turned up,after looking for a pair of these for nearly three years.... Found one in Wales last year, then out of the blue this showed up on the bay of flee ,earlier this week. So that's the ball joints sorted....

Very much enjoying this build. I had no idea where this was going to go when I started reading.
Very few of us get to work with the equipment resources you have, and seeing how a project is executed by a skilled person in such an environment is a lot of fun to follow along.

I used to enjoy art at school. So a bit of a change of pace to start off today. Bit of drawing. Mmmmm totally devoid of artistic merit. Bart Simpson meet alien dude.... Yep. Nothing changed in the last 25 years. Still as bad as ever. Just because I liked it,doesn't mean I was any good at it, hahaha Let's change media.... So that's the insert for the insert sorted Pressed in, that sorts that problem. 2mm narrower step as I had issues with these panels marrying up with the inner sills. A bit of work to correct, but at least then it's right. Now I need to sort out the top of the tool
