This car is by no means a perfect example but it is MOT'd until December and It has proven to be very reliable.
I acquired it from a friend of mine who bought it when he was stuck for a car.
It's a white 1993 525 TD, millage unknown.
The clocks have been changed for what I believe are 4 cylinder ones, as the Rev counter does not read correctly. I guess from the service history and old MOTs its between 150 and 170k
It has black leather interior from an E32 I believe which is in pretty good condition except for some wear on the drivers seat.
The drivers door card has been replaced with a grey cloth one but have the original leather one. Unfortunately it is damaged.
The body work is on the scruffy side but the shell is solid and the sills are sound. The front wings are rust free and arches are solid. There is rust but only where the paint is damaged. Fuel flap area is also rust free.
The car has MOT until December but after having driven the car around for a couple of months I suspect that the MOT technician who did the last MOT was being generous.
One of the rear seat belt clips has stopped working, the rear springs where an advisory for the last MOT and the rear camber is looking a little bit special. It occasionally bottoms out on the rear drivers side. I have not had the rear wheels off but I suspect something has gone wrong.
There is also air getting into the fuel line somewhere. The lift pump and fuel filter have both been changed. It's also had new leak off pipes which has improved things a bit. It can idle roughly and is difficult to start.
I know I am painting a pretty terrible picture of this car but once it is running it drives really well. Anything above an idle the engine runs smoothly and pulls strongly. The car has a strong manual gearbox which shifts lovely.
In the last few months I have driven the car daily and it has behaved itself really well. The head liner is not at all saggy and it drives really nicely.
With a little work this could be a really nice car or its cheep transport until the MOT runs out.
I think it deserves a chance to live so offering it up here.
Car is located in Cirencester and will come on some 16inch e60 wheels with good tyres.
If anyone is interested pm me or give me a call on 07833491349
The car will be available from the 30th of May.
Can't seem to upload photos from my phone so I will add some later
