my god theres some curse word in modern vehicles. dashborad area, erm its gone!!!!!! the body is very solid, thought for a while it was to good to strip down. trying to use as much of donor as possible, pedals, along with braking system will all be used. going to try to use steering column complete, even removed mounting bar, plates etc. been told this bit is very important!!!! these will be have to be cut of as siezed solid. only 10 to find!!!!! got to finish removing wiring loom, drain, remove radiator then a few odds and sods, should then be lift off!!!!

this brings things upto date.
body still on, as suffering with trapped nerve in shoulder also don't help that i load vans at work. i've got a 6inch drop at front. just from wheel and tyre change(mostly tyres!!!) 9 1/2 inches stock, will come down to 3 1/2" ish soon. could be a little higher due to less body weight. torson bars at front so can easily raise(or lower!!!) it an inch if required.

suppose i better put a pic up, not a lot has happened, cut the front of which will save us lifting body up over engine. just handbrake to disconnect(and keep to re-use) the body does lift up from chassis so all good there.

Looks great outside, you can get a real feel for it and seeing in a back alley like that seems like the perfect environment for it. I couldn't resist giving the photo a little period filter... That look authentic 😉

Ford Rangers and Mazda BT50 have them until at least 2012. Ive not been under a newer one to have a look if they still do. They're a great form of suspension for commercial vehicles.

Read from the beginning mate and I'm impressed with what your doing. Keep going and just do what you want to do, it's your car at the end of the day and if others don't 'get it' then tough!
It looks real good in the last pic, can really see its potential.

frontera was a rebadged isuzu MU, which is why its got your typically J truck based SUV double wishbones and torsion bar setup. B series frontera had torsion bars too (up to 2004)
