First time writing an ad on here (and in fact only the second time I've written a car ad...) - be gentle!
MrsSE's mum is having a clearout, and No.1 target is this old beauty - a 1983 a-plated Winnebago. I know you've leapt ahead, and are picturing a ginormous, brown mobile cowshed, with ruched leather seats, the turning circle of the QE2, and all the style of Simon Cowell - but wait! This is for a Winnebago more suited for our tiny European roads.
The LeSharo was introduced in 1983, which makes this a very early model - ideal for the serious collector! It's apparently based on the Renault Trafic (and who hasn't always lusted after one of those?) - and fitted with an all aluminium, 2068cc diesel and manual four-speed transaxle. This means earthshattering performance, with 66bhp at your disposal. That is if it runs - we haven't tried it, since we're pessimists. The more astute among you will have noticed that it's left hand drive - I'm sure there's a good reason for that, but I'm damned if I can think of one.
Despite the photos, this particular model is not finished with optional camoflage paint, it was last taxed in 2002 and has been standing in a field since then - it was owned by MrsSE's grandfather, and has not been used since his passing. We're now looking for it to go somewhere where it will be either returned to the road, or at least used to keep another one going - it would be a shame to see it go straight to a crusher.
The photos show it exactly as it sits now - fairly obviously it will need taking away on a trailer, car transporter or slung under a Chinook.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask on here or PM me and I'll do my best...
