It is with regret that I have to sell my Audi Coupe due to a company car and no driveway or garage to store the Coupe on. I have owned the car for 2 1/2 years having purchased it from the only previous owner (aside from the Audi dealer), who spent thousands over the 18 years he owned it keeping the car maintained and in tip top condition.
The car was written off as a CAT C last year but the damage was minor to the bonnet and front slam panel only. The insurance company thought it was too expensive to I bought the car back from them and had the bonnet and slam panel fixed and resprayed. I also had the front wings resprayed at the same time so they all matched. I must stress there was no structural damage caused in the bump just a dent in the bonnet. I have the VIC test certificate and I'm sure I also have the engineers report also.
The rest of the paintwork is okay but bear in mind the car is 21 years old so there are some dinks here and there. The grand plan was to get the roof, A & C pillars painted next but the company car has meant this hasn't happened.
The car has completed just under 114k and drives really well. It feels solid, pulls nicely through the gears & is a blast to drive. Unfortunately, I've only driven it 3 times in the last 4 months and this coupled with the lack of storage means it's time for it to go.
The interior is tidy with very little wear to the drivers bolster and the other seats are in very good condition. The material on the drivers door is coming away but it's not been an issue for me. Central locking, sunroof and both windows work perfectly. I replaced the motor in the drivers side a couple of weeks ago after the last one seized.
MOT is due the middle of July and of course it won't come with tax due to the new rules.
Good Bits
Engine runs sweet
4 brand new tyres
Front end professionally resprayed last summer
Kenwood CD/MP3/iPod/SD head unit
Mac Audio dash speakers
InPhase rear speakers
Not so good bits
Brake warning light flashes on and off randomly. The brakes have all been checked and are perfectly fine, I think this may be the sensor in the power steering cap that needs to be looked at.
Heater blower only works on fastest speed - common issue on these and a cheap fix but it's never bothered me so haven't changed it.
Rear wiper doesn't work - common issue on these, the tailgate wiring gets brittle with age, can be soldered but again haven't got around to it.
Fuel gauge works most of the time, temp gauge when it want - common issue with these, cleaning the connections on the back of the clocks will sort this.
The issues that the car does have were on my list to do but 4 kids and a job that has me working 6 days a week means I just haven't had the time to do these.
I've been as honest as I can, this is a lovely car and is priced realistically to sell, any questions please PM me. £695 ono
