WORD!!! Help a brother out by buying a car off him y0!@ I have been fettling this rover for a while and now its time for it to move on. I only bought it to 'save' it cos the feckles dopehead lad who had it, had broken the gearbox and was just going to weigh it in. I've fitted a replacement gearbox and done a few other bits on it to get it ship shape.
Car: 1992 Rover 214 Si 3-dr
MOT: 12 months
Tax: None of course
Mileage: 51,000

Price £550
This is a really nce honest little Rover, and a very rare car now in this fairly basic early 3-dr model. It has the earlier closed deck engine which supports the liners at the top end as well as the bottom and is thus much less prone to head gasket problems than later K-series engines. Its the single-point 16v engine, 95bhp I believe. Its had 2 previous owners, the last one having it since 2008. I;ve got the post-2008 bills & history and it seems to back up the low mileage. Original paint all over with no repairs or welding anywhere. Passed the MOT no problems. New clutch, alternator, downpipe, TIMING BELT, and recent battery. Starts and runs lovely. Needs nothing to go straight into daily use!!! 1400 so cheap tax. BAD POINTS: Headlining is a bit saggy in one corner, and theres some strange damage to the drivers door trim for some reason. No radio. What this car really needs now is someone who's into cleaning and detailing, I reckon you could easily doctor this up and have a real minter. The bonnet was a bit dull so I mopped it and it came up like new. The rest of the paint is good but would look amazing with a good polish up, I just havent the time.
The price is £550, I can't drop a lot from that really (and it seems pretty cheap to me TBH, I suppose i would say that though as I am trying to sell it) but what I can offer is a case of 'Corona' mexican lager in the footwell for the new owner to enjoy when he gets home?
Can't say fairer than that can I. PM me or call if you fancy taking it on!!!
