I cant wait for the spring and boot sale to start up again I want to try a stall at an autojumble too. I cleared a garage and came into possession of quite a lot of motorbike bits and bobs, but I have no real way of identifying them. I'm thinking the best way to pass them on to someone that will make use will be an aiutojumble? Throw a general pic of a load of bits on here, some of us might be able to identify some of it. I'm going to have a morning of taking pictures and general garage skulduggery on Saturday so I'll get a couple of pictures up then. Would you think this thread is a reasonable place to do that? I wouldn't want to be accused of spamming or derailing a really nice thread

Got given this today. Its either the end of a desk or dressing table judging by the damage on one side of it. Its also quite damp having been in a leaky shed for some time. I'll leave it for a while before i do anything to it, I had to have it as its got the most art-deco handles ive ever seen. I'm sure i do something with it eventually.

Today I went to a local car boot sale (run by my Mam) and amongst the usual stuff, a couple of stalls had 'unusual' stuff! Need to take pics of the most bizarre (bizarre for a car boot sale that is). The seller said it was a theatre spotlight, but it doesn't look right for that. Have seen similar in 1940s movie studios. Pics to follow tomorrow

Went out for a drive today, took the scenic route which meant going through Surrey's cash-money-central region. As I drove through a little village, I saw a charity shop, with signs outside it announcing that everything was 50% off. This was a charity shop the likes of which I have never seen. Handbags with £140 on them! Not much in there to interest me, on the way out I has a closer look at the handbags, simply to see what all the fuss was about when it comes to expensive handbags. don't judge me! Anyway, as I moved one I noticed something slightly of interest. Aparently its a handbag. I.Bought. A handbag. Ive never seen one before. Its really well made, the strap is made of rubber and the whole thing smells like an autojumble. It was probably the cheapest thing in the shop. If I take the strap off it, it is no longer a handbag, ok? I left the shop, drove down the road and saw another group of shops, with another charity shop. And I saw something in there that I had never seen before. Well, before today anyway. Not quite as nice as the first one, has a fabric strap instead of a rubber one. It has the original price tag on it showing it was bought from Disneyland Florida, Lake Buena Vista. Not a cheap thing. So yeah, today I bought 2 handbags. I think.

You're forgiven for they contain vehicular pretexts, however even if I bought one of those (which I would to hang in the garage) the mrs would point blank refuse to use it, to her a car is like a whisk, use it, wash it, that's it, not something to be accessorised

Popped into a local charity shop today as i was passing. Now, I don't do puzzles, I don't see the point of them, if you want a picture, buy a flippin' picture! So I bought a puzzle.... But if your going to buy a puzzle, THATS a puzzle. What has struck me is its alot of white, and alot of black lines. I don't know if its all there but its in a bag, and the pieces look like new.

Nice, I like those - did you pay £140 each for them though or have I misread? I think you need a st bernard dog now though and put one on it's collar.

No, I didn't pay £140 for them, there were other handbags in there for upwards of £140. I feel that I have spoken about handbags for long enough now thank you. These two licence plate things were very reasonably priced. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, authough I realised yesterday that the yellow one has my birth year on it, the year I passed my test on it, and the year of my first car on it, so I cant see that one going far. That's amazing that you've found an original advert for the puzzle! Nice to see that its a local product. I'm not sure if I'm going to try and make it, itd be nice just to put it in a frame and sell it, but all those white pieces could drive me batty, looks worse than a baked bean puzzle. As far as price goes, I didn't even pay £6.50 for all 3 items.

Well, I had a count up, there are 1000 pieces, and 266 of them are plain white. But I put together Cosworth DFX Turbocharged 2.65 Litre I think they call that making a rod for ones own back.
