EXTERIOR
This sporting two seater BMW Z3 Roadster is finished in stunning vibrant BMW Bright Red (code 314) to accentuate the classic lines of this fun sports car with its sweeping bonnet and low slung waistline. The paint work boasts an incredible bright polished shine and pleasing uniform finish, every inch the stereotypical red sports car! The term flawless can often be misused but aside from a couple of almost undetectable stone chips to the front, this example clearly warrants the accolade. Effortless in operation, the soft top hood is simply pristine with a clear and crease free rear screen. All trim, glass lights and badges are immaculate and even the supplying dealer number plates remain fitted. This low mileage and low owner example displays its cherished existence without question and now represents a highly desirable modern classic, utterly usable and ready for the sunshine!
INTERIOR
Remaining precisely as BMW intended, this spotless interior bares all the hallmarks of devoted ownership. The factory optional upgrade Oregon leather upholstery in Black (code Q2SW) remains in beautiful condition with firm bolsters and no damage to the trim. Only close scrutiny will reveal very faint hairline creases to the driver’s seats. The leather trimmed steering wheel and gear shifter are unworn and the matching black door cards and carpeting are impeccable, the latter having been protected from new by genuine BMW over mats. The dashboard is perfect and houses fully functioning equipment to include the original BMW Business stereo system which features a six disc changer in the boot. Even the often discarded selector sticker on the centre console remains in place! An original lockable BMW turbulence deflector is neatly fitted and can easily be removed or kept in place, even with the hood raised. A beautifully preserved interior just as the manufacturer intended.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The immaculately clean engine bay complete with factory stickers is fitted with BMW’s proven 1895cc bulletproof four cylinder engine. The power output of 140bhp at 6000rpm and 180Nm torque at 4300rpm achieves 0-62mph in 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 122mph. The factory optional four speed EH automatic transmission features economy, sports and manual modes and delivers smooth progression up and down the range with positive kick down. Everything you would expect from a low mileage and well maintained ultimate driving machine.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted as a factory upgrade, the 7J x 16in Z-Star alloy wheels are in remarkably good order with only very faint scratches visible upon close inspection. Two of the centre caps have started to delaminate slightly. Matching quality Avon ZV5 225/50 R16 tyres have masses of tread remaining. The original space saver spare wheel, jack and complete BMW toolkit are with the car. Front and rear disc brakes with anti-lock assistance (ABS) offer superb stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by BMW Main Dealers Chandlers Garage of Worthing, this example was registered new on 4th July 1997. Paperwork in the history file details the purchase new price of £23,070 including all factory options. Just two former keepers and a mere 61,617 miles covered, the history file depicts a truly cherished and impeccably maintained car. The original service booklet displays fifteen main dealer stamped entries with less than 1,000miles covered since the most recent. A print out from the supplying BMW dealer documents no less than 30 visits to them up to 2007! Completing the history file is the original leather wallet containing every handbook and guide issued when new as well as a second wallet supplied when the vehicle was sold again by Chandlers Garage as an Approved Used Car. This outstanding example has wanted for nothing and now simply requires a new owner to enjoy and appreciate!
