Is it a petrol or diesel?? I can't remember what engines these had, I have a feeling they either had a 3.8 BMC four-pot diesel engine or a choice between a 2660cc straight-four or 3995cc straight-six petrol. Whatever it is, it's a cracking piece of kit.

It may or it wont interest you to know that a virtual identical model ( same colouring scheme ) is pictured on google if you type in Morris LD. There cant be that many about? The fact that its diesel is good, the petrol models, by all accounts, were terrible on fuel consumption. If its half decent, get it, it will be a buzz to drive. Wouldnt mind a toy like that for myself...................

You could drive around North Yorks Moors pretending to be on The Royal...? Or wait till they're actually filming it, turn up in shot in the distance and gently do a rolling burnout

Well I went to see the properly today and by god Ilove it, I spent nearly 2hrs with the seller and this thing is probably the most loved camper I have ever seen.
The guy has owned it for over 20 years, he bought it with his late wife to see if they wouldlike camping withtheintention to but a better van soon if they did, well he still hasn't found a better van!!! But needs to sell this as it no longer get used regulary.
We went for a nice long drive in it and it pulls really well, it is a 2.5l BMC Diesil with a 3 speed Auto box which is supprisingly smooth ( included in the sale is the kit to convert to manual if you prefer )
The MOT is till December and he says it has never cost him more than £10 in parts toget though one and looking at the underneath and engine i can see why.
There is a kitchen in the back (fridge, cooker and sink) but the rest of the "camper" has gone so you can fitit however you please.
This is the right camper and you will see in a min at the right price, but unfortunatly for me at the wrong time, with the work we are doing on the house.
He is looking for about £500 and if I had that now Iwould have bought it, if anyone wants the contact details drop me a PM.
