A completely factory standard pearl grey R129 500 SL with 99,065 miles (being used on nice days so will increase slightly)
This isn’t something I thought I’d ever do but due to a lack of storage and a number of other projects, my much loved SL has to go. I’ve only had it 2 years and had planned on keeping it. I searched for a good amount of months to find a nice example until I found this one.
It has a full Mercedes service history up until 84k, when I picked it up it had 95k, I had it serviced locally but due to a house move I don’t have the receipts or proof of this sadly. However due to the mileage now being 99k its due for another service anyway. So I suggest that’s the first thing the new owner does. One thing to mention is an intermittent ARS fault. Recent work carried out includes a PAS pump, a bottom ball joint, uprated grooved front disc brakes and pads (as recommend by Mercedes forums)
The overall condition is very nice, the body is straight having never been in any accidents. The car regularly gets a full claybar, polish and wax so the paintwork is smooth and glossy. The car is kept in a garage. The usual Mercedes rust has crept in on both front wings slightly but doesn’t detract from a lovely looking car. The only other body defect is last week a helpful hit and run artist has left a small scuff on the front bumper corner (pictured)
The interior is again very clean for its age and mileage, the drivers bolster showing very slight wear but still is very presentable. All the electrics work, both windows, side mirrors and even the electric rear view mirror all work fine. Both the front seats are electric, have 3 saved positions and operate smoothly. The electric roof works fine, occasionally needing a very slight tug to lock into the closed position.
I’m being as comprehensive with the details as I can in the interests of a fair sale. This is a private sale, but the pictures have been taken at my place of work.
The car comes with 12 months MOT.
