Having a bad night so despite not wanting to sell this, none of my other cars are selling so I think it's time to at least advertise it and see what kind of reception I get.
Sorry for not having more detailed pictures and information but I've intentionally never really taken any to prevent myself from even advertising it.
Anyway, lets begin.
I bought this car around 3 years ago (maybe more) as a badly pimped automatic whilst I was living abroad. I bought it from the evilbay and a good friend went to collect it for me on my behalf and tuck it away for safe keeping.
Since buying it I have been slowly accumulating parts and on my little holidays back to the UK I had been doing bits of work to it. This involved beginning the manual conversion. Work which was carried out included:
Removing the hand painted yellow seats, door cards and other related trim and binning it.
Replacing the said eye sore with interior trim from a stock black leather model.
I have a pair of bride seats in the car but need to bolt them in.
Fitted a manual pedal box
Replaced the badly fitted E46 steering wheel with a Decent suede OMP (not an ebay piece of curse word, this is the real deal!)
Replaced the good Mazdaspeed suspension (included) with some Feed adjustable coilovers and camber adjust top mounts.
Replaced the old stock exhaust (included) with a N.O.S Stainless steel-turbo back-decatted single exit exhaust.
It then sat in a a shed until about a month ago when I relocated back to the UK and towed it out of hibernation, too lazy to push it...
Most recently I fitted the gearbox but then realised that I had forgotten to install the spigot bearing, so then removed the gearbox, fitted the bearing, tried to refit the gearbox and in the process broke the bearing... it was getting late, I was exhausted and was rushing. At that point I walked away from it. I have since ordered a new bearing which is here with me.
The body is 100% rust free... I've never seen an RX7 like this in that respect. It hasnt had any welding nor does it need any. It is a Japanese import and as such is registered as a 1.3 WOOHOOO CHEAP ROAD TAX!!!
The roof is excellent, no rips or tears and all the electrical mechanism works as it should. Centra targa section removes and I also have the super rare leather tonneau cover for it all.
Cleaned the 3 years of dust from it...
The flip windshield is still in the car, it has an aftermarket front spoiler lip fitted, HPI air filter still in the box, unfitted, an aluminium Razo gearknob, takata harnesses... basically being an import car I decided to tart it up with as much "scene" stuff as I could. A sony cd headunit is there amongst the many boxes of parts I accumulated including many parts I didnt even need but bought just for the sake of buying.
The bonnet is OEM lightweight aluminium (an option from what I've read as some were steel). Pop up lights, windows etc all work as they should.
It currently is sitting on some SSR Formula Mesh 16's & 15's
I'm asking £3000 which some may think is expensive and others may think it's cheap. It's subjective, but what it boils down to is if someone wants it then they will buy it. I will reduce the price by £900 if I keep the wheels&seats which allows some flexibility for any potential buyers. It's not worth me to sell it for any less so please don't insult me by quoting what others have sold for in the past like the black rusty one with the shredded roof which half the people on driftworks have owned and ragged about.
This engine (if I recall) has 80k km which is 50K miles on it, the recommended rebuild time on these is 120K miles... also this was an auto so has had a pretty easy life. Obviously no tax or mot. I believe it's either a D or an E registration (new number plates included which I've never fitted) and an S4 model for the rotary buffs who may be wondering.
work which needs doing:
1) Replace a few wheel studs (included)
2) Bolt in the seat rails
3) Fit interior trim (included)
4) Fit gearbox (included) and fill with oil
5) Fit prop (included)
6) Broken spigot bearing removed and new one fitted.
7) Ignition refitting - it was removed when taking out the 3, yes 3 alarm systems... which didnt work.
Tons of parts including all the old parts which were removed (bar the old wheels and seats) are included with the sale if the buyer would like them.
The car is in colchester, no p/x's or swaps I'm afraid.
