I took this in part exchange last night against the low mileage Micra K10 I had. It`s in great condition throughout. The guy who has owned it for the last 18 months used it daily, but really took care of it. It`s got an MOT until November this year, and has covered 3000 miles since the last test. I`ve driven it for just over 50 miles now, with no issues to report on the mechanicals at all. it stats first time, has a nice steady idle and drives as it should.
The pictures tell you all you need to know about the bodywork, as it`s in superb condition throughout. All panels are straight, and there are literally about 4 very minor imperfections to the whole car. There`s a scratch about 1 inch long on the rear bumper, a light scratch on the O/S rear quarter with a very small (5p sized) ding and a 1 inch patch of surface rust on the N/S rear arch. Apart from these, the windscreen has gone slightly milky in places around the edge, but I`ve never seen a MB of this era without this problem. This is certainly better than most I`ve seen!
I`ve got the full book pack, with a load of old MOT certificates, and the original service book which is fully stamped up until 2011 with 13 stamps. The engine starts and drives as it should. It`s not the quickest thing in the world, but you wouldn`t expect it to be. It`s a lovely, smooth drive though, and soaks up the numerous UK potholes with ease.
The interior is as new. Cloth seats, with little or no wear at all. MB carpet over mats fitted, and the original Blaupunkt stereo. No A/C, electric front windows.
The car is far cleaner than I anticipated, and i`d doubt there are too many this nice to be honest. So, what are the issues; It needs an ABS/Speed sensor. One the drive home with it, the ABS light came on, and the speedo stopped working. I`m 100% certain this is a faulty AS sensor, so a quick and easy fix. Being picky, the fuel gauge seems to work as and when it wants to, but the low fuel light still works as it should. The electric aerial doesn`t come all the way up, and 50% of the time, won`t go all the way down either.
All in all, it`s a great old Merc in very good condition throughout. It`s got low miles, which can be warranted and has a low owner count. I`m wanting £795 for it, and don`t really want to go lower than that, as I`ll be putting it on car and classic for £1495.
Pictures below.....I`ll get some interior ones up ASAP too.
I can arrange UK delivery if needed, and take debit/credit card payments if needed.
