For sale is my 1991 Volkswagen Jetta GX 1.6 petrol. The car sits low on JOM coilovers which have been kept lubricated so the collars are easily adjustable. The wheels are 15x8” Rota BM8’s all around with 165 Nankang As-1 tyres on the front and 195 Kumho Ecsta tyres on the rear. The wheels sit in the G60 arches nicely and never rub. The rear suspension is fitted with larger bump stops to prevent rubbing. Eibach camber shims give 3 degrees of camber at the rear. The 1.6 petrol engine is nice and smooth through all gears and fairly economical. Of course it also means cheap insurance.
The car gets a lot of attention and is a real head turner! I will be sad to see it go but I need something bigger to transport bikes. I would think about a swap or p/x for something like a BMW 330d estate.

-G60 arches front and rear
-15x8” Rota BM8 wheels in very good condition. One slight bit of kerbing on front left.
-Nankang AS-1 165/45 tyres on front and Kumho Ecsta 195/45 tyres at the rear all with lots of tread left
-Momo team 300mm steering wheel in very good condition
-3 degrees of camber at the rear from Eibach camber shims
-Interior in good condition for its age
-The paintwork polishes up very nicely
-4 door saloon with big boot
-Sunroof
-Autobahn bra included
-Auto-choke is not the most consistent which can cause idle to be a bit low at start up. Just requires a little dab of throttle occasionally. This goes away as soon as you start to move the car. Sometimes it can cause the engine to run a little rich but this soon goes away as the engine warms up
-A few small areas of the paintwork show signs of touch ups but can only be noticed up close
-There are a few small areas of rust
-The radio does not work ( I currently use an external speaker set which can be included if you want)
N.B. Car has standard arches fitted in the first and last photo on the gumtree advert
