Anyone interested in a cheap MX5 in Sheffield?
1994 Eunos import 1.8 with a slip diff (torsen?). Electric windows, headrest speakers, heated rear screen etc. Loads of history and receipts. Imported in 2004.
MOT til 5th May 2015.
156k km = ~97k miles.
Good:
Lowered 40mm on springs with KYB shocks
Polybushed
Short shifter
300mm OMP wheel
Chrome style bar
Full stainless twin exit power flow exhaust
Alarm with 2 keys and fobs
EBC Green stuff brake pads
HPI Clear (see pictures for report. Red box is "Potential Import"...)
Not so good:
Paintwork isn't brilliant but cleans up OK - has dents, scuffs etc (including crazed paint on the rear bumper where it had a small bump) but nothing too bad. Hood is great and doesn't leak but could do with a proper clean. Front right wing rusty but otherwise car is solid including sil sections (always been garaged while I've had it). Rides very well but a bit crashy on Sheffield's worst pot holed roads. Exhaust is pretty loud and occasionally hits the brace bar underneath (new rubber hangers would sort it - they are a bit old and stretched). Standard daisy alloys have been painted silver but not well. Have a matching set of Toyo tyres with plenty of tread but they are old and just starting to crack. Has central locking but drivers solenoid is seized - comes with a spare, just needs fitting.
Can no longer justify 2 cars (both myself and my partner walk to work!) and need something bigger so unfortunately needs to go.
I'm away a lot over the next few weeks and haven't got any time to MOT - Drives great and I can't see anything needed for the test (has done less than 2k miles since the last test.)
£600 - surely would break for more? It's taxed, MOTed and insured til the end of the month so can be driven away.
Down as a "MAZDA EUNOS" for make on logbook - if doing a DVLA check put this in vehicle make.

Cheers
