I've been asked to go and look at a car that the family of the deceased are selling.
Sounds like they've divvy'd up the estate and I've to go and see the guy who's got this car.
Anyone know how to tell that probate is finished (or whatever the correct legal term is)?
I mean I want to confirm that the car is not subject to any dispute.
Obvs, I'll be checking that the V5 is in the name of the guy selling rather than the recently deceased.
I'm assuming the DVLA wouldn't issue a new V5 without things all being finalised.
Anyone who's bought a car this way before able to recommend any other sensible things to do or check?
Any advice appreciated.
