Apologies for the incredibly boring topic of this thread, but I could do with a couple of pointers.
I'm hoping to get my 1990 Dacia Shifter on the road soon and need to sort some insurance. I don't intend to keep it for very long but I'd like to take it to a couple of shows so I'd like some insurance that I could cancel and get a decent chunk of the money back. I could probably just get it on a classic policy, but in my experience, very few if any classic policies offer any cancelation refund.
I've tried the comparison sites but whilst getting very good quotes on van insurance policies, most seem to charge huge admin fees for cancelation. I've tried Post Office and Direct Line which I've been recommended but neither recognise the type of vehicle on their databse. I've tried my usual default of Adrian Flux but they never e-mailed me back with a quote.
So, has anyone got experience of a company that might insure an unusual vehicle and give a reasonable cancelation refund, quite frankly my heads starting to hurt with hours of trawling through small print, thanks and sorry for such a boring post.
