Hello everyone, i have lost the code for my ford sound 2000 radio. I have tried various different sites and i can't seem to get the code as either the site is broken or it sais they don't have the codes for these radios. them are the only stickers with numbers FD 2005 L 0599590 (white sticker) (Red/white sticker) 2005 89FB-18k876-AB 0603423 Please if anyone can work out my code it would be much appreciated, as my radio is the one part original to my car and it's the last part that needs to be fitted :C Thanks James online photo sharing

I had the same problem, that radio is to old to get the code from any of the websites or ebay that do it from the part number, it has to be sent away and reprogrammed but some can be done via email. These are the guys that i used their service was great and the turn round was pretty quick, but it's not that cheap, worth dropping them an email and see what they can do. www.dndservices.co.uk/Dave

You should be able to download a code generator from the internet. I used to have a CD full of decoder programs when I worked in car audio, most of those were originally downloaded. Unfortunately I suspect my CD is buried under piles of curse word in my storage unit.

I downloaded a couple of different code generators when i was trying to sort mine and neither worked as the radio was to old, i have done it a few times on newer 5000 and 6000 units but couldn't on the 2000.

thanks for the reply guys, but i'm hoping to get a code for free. i have read on the internet from a couple years back people using code generators for this model and it worked. but the ones i used on the internet don't work. I'm guessing there are some that do and don't work but, by luck i can't get a code because of the generator. it's the actually original radio taken out of the car years ago and because i'm a bit picky i wan't the same one in, but the cost of having it stripped to have all the rust removed from the outer case and new stickers, is going to cost me a good sum and then the code would all come to a big price when these can be picked up easy enough by the looks of it. but if anyone can help if they have a generator that works that be great

Hey, I need help on the same subject. For my older cd-player 89gb-19b160-aa Serial# M0031477 the 3-digit code is required. Can anybody help me, as my available code generators supply just 4-digit code.
